Explore more on the circular economy
This website is an opportunity to learn more about the circular economy, understand what is happening in Tasmania, and provide you with connections to resources. It is not intended to promote particular goods or services, but rather provide you with the opportunity to learn more. Our Facebook page will provide regular updates on activities and thoughts we would like to share.
What we are about
Over a number of coffees and events, a few Tasmanians came together with an idea to start a conversation. We are not a formal group and we are in many different roles in organisations, industry sectors, and community. We do have one goal in common and that is to work where we can to connect on the circular economy and collaborate with ideas and projects that will benefit Tasmania and our way of life.
— Allison Clark, Founding Coordinator
“Rural, regional, and remote Tasmania is my heartland. I am a passionate member of Tasmanian Women in Agriculture and look for ways to connect and enrich lives across communities. Through the circular economy we have an opportunity to find new ways of working together and transform the way we use our natural resources to increase the sustainability of our regions and the people who live and work in them.”
— Belinda Hazell, Past Chair,Tasmanian Women in Agriculture
We are not a political organisation, rather looking to work across Tasmania through business, industry, community, university and local, state, and federal governments, and stay connected. Our aim is to make sure that we participate in conversations and enhance the opportunity for circular economy thinking to be adopted.
